Thanks to Jem Croucher’s reply to Charles Robert Lindholm’s poetic plea for help with his haiku addiction, I have a new wordy thing to play with…the Tanka. More syllables to fill but still a challenge. See what you think (yes, I did use pencil and paper to compose them).
I THINK ON PAPER
I think on paper,
with pencil and eraser,
better than I do
on a digital device —
until eraser wears down.
OH PENCIL!
Oh pencil! You are
Versatility itself
Enabling me to
Re-phrase without marking through
‘Long as your eraser lasts!
Surprisingly, I seem to write best on computer!
